Our Approach

I always tell people who are looking for kittens that “registered” doesn’t necessarily mean “doing things the right way” – otherwise we wouldn’t have suspension lists! It’s really important to be patient, research the breeder, ask them questions, and build a relationship that will, hopefully, last a lifetime.
There is a number of basic rules that registration bodies such as GCCF and TICA set out, but responsible breeders always strive to go above and beyond, rather than settling on bare minimum.
We only have kittens occasionally, which means that they get our full attention. Our babies are a part of our family, they are raised indoors, surrounded by all the regular household noises, and handled from birth.
Kitten socialisation is extremely important to ensure they grow up to be the best versions of themselves. That’s one of the reasons why we don’t let them go to new homes until they are 13-14 weeks old, so they have enough time to learn how to “cat” properly by interacting with us (humans), their mum, siblings, other cats and our dog.
All our adult cats also live indoors and are a part of our daily lives, as much loved family members.
They are regularly health tested and genetically tested:
- FIV/FeLV negative
- PKD negative
- ALPS negative

All our kittens leave us for their new homes no earlier than 1 week after vaccinations, with all of the following:
- GCCF or TICA registration documents
- Outstanding 5 generation pedigree
- Vaccinated and vet checked at least 3 times
- Precautionary flea and worm treated
- Spayed/neutered – saving you and them a lot of stress
- Microchipped
- Fully socialised, used to regular household noises, dogs and visiting children
- Scratch post and litter trained
- Used to a grooming routine, including brushing, clipping nails, checking ears etc.
You will be also provided with:
- Weekly photo/video updates about your kitten
- 4 weeks of free insurance with PetPlan – it’s a company we use for all of our animals
- 2-year health guarantee against death from genetic and congenital disorders
- Kitten agreement
- Comprehensive information sheets including details on feeding, health and cat behaviour
- Personalised goodie bag with scent blankets, food, treats and toys
- Lifetime of support and advice – no question is stupid or will remain unanswered, we are here to help
- Full breeder backup – our responsibility doesn’t end the moment money changes hands; we are here for you and the kittens, for years to come
Our expectations of you:
- The kitten will be provided with a good quality diet and appropriate enrichment
- You will purchase the best level of insurance cover you can afford, or have enough savings to ensure they receive any necessary medical treatment
- They will be always provided with veterinary care when needed
- The kitten will not be allowed to free-roam. If they have outdoor access, that will be only in a cat-proofed area, catio, or while wearing a secure harness
- Most importantly – you will LOVE them as much as we do!
If we have kittens and you’d like to make an enquiry, just drop us a message and tell us a little bit about yourself, why you are looking for a British Shorthair/Longhair kitten, and the home you can offer, and we’ll do our best to match you with the right baby.
