Puppy socialisation received a lot of attention over the years, and there are countless books on this subject. Unfortunately, there’s relatively little research about kitten socialisation – but preparing them in a way that allows them to lead fulfilling lives is one of our biggest responsibilities as breeders.
That’s why I’m pleased to say that last week, I had a chance to participate in a very interesting webinar about kitten socialisation and development, held by Joanna Rozwadowska.
Topics included early neurological stimulation during kittens’ first days of life and advanced socialisation methods, that ensure that our little felines are bomb-proof and prepared for their adult lives. I learned some techniques that I am definitely planning to use when we have kittens of our own.
